Vertical leadership development: Accelerating your leadership
in a VUCA world

Domain: Systems Transformation
Capability: Orient themselves strategically to the future

Facilitated by:

Nadine Whelan

The coronavirus pandemic has cast a spotlight on the increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world we are striving to serve within. Leadership for these times looks different than in the past and challenges us to accelerate our own growth and development to match the level of complexity we are facing today. Calling forth our individual and collective capacities to be and become our best selves, it requires us to  transform ourselves to transform systems.

While traditional approaches to leadership development tend to focus on adding more ‘stuff’ to our toolbox, it is increasingly understood that to meet today’s challenges and  tomorrow’s unknowns, we need to expand ourselves in ways that help us be more aware, agile and change capable to embrace whatever may be over the next horizon. This module will overview key concepts in vertical leadership development, contrast these with traditional approaches and explore strategies to help integrate these principles into programs and practices.

Join Dr. Jaason Geerts and our special guest, Nadine Whelan, for this Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) module related to the Systems Transformation domain within the LEADS in a Caring Environment Framework .
