Two articles on innovation in this module. Neither article is from healthcare sector, but both are highly applicable to healthcare and allow us to learn from other sectors.  The first article is about fostering innovation from an organizational perspective, the second discussed five discovery skills that foster innovation and a creativity mindset in yourself and others.

These fist article introduces the topic of “Open Innovation”, meaning innovating in a more decentralized and participatory way. The pandemic has been an opportunity for innovation in healthcare and this module offers reflection what has made this possible. We will explore how the concept of open innovation applies to healthcare, how to foster creativity in self and others,  and what system, organizational and operational changes are required in healthcare to foster lasting innovation for transformational change moving forward.
