Due to the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the CCHLs and LEADS Canada made the decision to cancel the annual LEADS Exchange Day on June 17, 2020, in Edmonton, Alberta.
We are disappointed that we did not have the opportunity to see all of you in person in Edmonton, however, we are excited that the 2020 LEADS Exchange Series is going virtual and you are invited to be part of this inaugural series. This means that all healthcare leaders and organizations from across Canada are able to participate – the offering is open to all health leaders intentional about leadership development.
This year has brought many changes to how we work, deliver care, lead teams and connect with each other. It has been a time of unprecedented change that has brought its share of suffering, anxiety and loss. It has also been a time of bold innovations and opportunities for new ways of thinking. The series Bold Innovations in Leadership During Disorienting Times, happening in four parts, from late August to November, will be informative and engaging and leave our participants with new tools and valuable connections.
Each session topic will be presented in two (2) webinars:
- Main Webinar: Focus on presenting innovative practices and tools. This webinar will be recorded and available following the session. (1.5 to 2 hrs)
- Exchange Opportunity: Small group discussions and sharing of tools and ideas (1.5 to 2 hrs)
All webinar will be afternoon sessions between 2:00 p.m and 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time and details will be sent once the exact times have been confirmed.

Registration must be submitted online and paid in full in order to receive the webinar links prior to each of the sessions. If payment is not received by the deadline date, invoices will not deducted retroactively. Registrations received without full payment are considered incomplete.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Lynne Marleau at firstname.lastname@example.org and received no later than 7 days prior to the start of the first webinar. Registration fees will be refunded minus a $25 administrative fee. There will be no refunds for cancellation requests received after that said deadline. No-shows occur when individuals register but do not attend the webinar. No-shows are not eligible for a refund. A recording of the first webinar (presentation) will be available following the session.
Prior to 5 days before the start of each session, the LEADS Exchange Day Planning Committee reserves the right to make changes in programs and speakers, or to cancel the session if registration targets are not met or when conditions beyond its control prevail. If the workshop is not held for any reason, LEADS Canada’s liability is limited to the refund of the registration fee only.
If you are unable to attend the LEADS Exchange Series session you registered for, you are welcome to send a colleague in your place. There is no fee to make this change up to 7 days prior to the first webinar, provided you email Lynne Marleau at email@example.com. Substitution requests received after the said deadline will incur a $25.00 processing fee.
LEADS Canada will take photographs, screenshots and some video during the LEADS Exchange Series and may utilize them in LEADS Canada news or promotional material whether in print, electronic, or other media including the LEADS Canada website. By participating, you grant LEADS Canada the right to use your photograph for such purposes.
